Hello! We are Claire and Justin, the proud new owners of Lakemoor.
Welcome to our brand new blog! Here we plan to share our journey with you as we develop Lakemoor for our family and future guests.
Lakemoor will be closed to visitors until Summer whilst we take time to understand the Glamping business and learn about the surrounding areas.
What is Lakemoor?
For those of you who have not yet had the opportunity to discover Lakemoor, we are located in Chawleigh, our little piece of Heaven in Devon. We have 5 acres of land situated on the River Taw. We have a lake which attracts plenty of wildlife and peace & quiet.
Future Plans
Lakemoor Campsite currently has a riverside camp site. A selection of self catering cabins, situated around the Lake and 5 hard standings for caravans, 4 with electric hook ups. With all this ready and waiting for us we will be embracing and expanding the Glamping experience.
The drinking water comes from a borehole, (fully tested at a UKAS accredited laboratory). The water tastes fantastic, so no need to buy bottled water. We will be embracing a ECO low impact lifestyle with solar power, wind power, and composting toilets. All with a low carbon footprint.
Our dream includes selling our own honey, fruit, vegetable, salad, eggs, sausages and goats milk. We will be keeping you informed of our progress through our blog, Facebook and Instagram.
