Our peaceful camping field is perfect for guests seeking a laid-back countryside getaway. Ideal for families, couples and groups of friends who want to unwind together under the stars.
With clear night skies and minimal light pollution, our site is ideal for starlit campfires, outdoor cooking and nature watching.
Spacious Camping Field with Generous Pitch Sizes
Our 1.5-acre camping field offers just 15 tent pitches, giving everyone plenty of space for privacy and a truly restful stay.
There are no allocated pitches, so you can choose the perfect spot when you arrive.
- Tents only (no caravans, campervans or trailer tents)
- No extra charge for gazebos or dogs
- Fire pits and BBQs welcome (Not applicable August 2026 until further notice)
We provide large wheelbarrows to help transport your camping gear from the nearby car park (less than a one-minute walk).
On-Site Facilities for Comfortable Camping
Our site combines a natural camping experience with essential modern facilities:
- Flushing toilet
- 3 compost toilets and urinal
- Hand basins and washing-up sinks
- Drinking water supply
- 2 hot showers (highly rated by our guests)

Sunset Corner – Communal Campfire and BBQ Area by the River
Sunset Corner is our welcoming communal space featuring a large fire pit, double BBQ, covered benches and tables, and gentle solar lighting. This relaxed social area is the perfect spot to gather with family and friends, enjoy outdoor cooking, and watch the sunset over the River Taw.
Set beside the riverside camping field, Sunset Corner is also a wonderful place for wildlife watching, with regular sightings of kingfishers and other local birds. Whether you are sharing stories around the fire or simply taking in the peaceful river views, this is one of the most popular areas of the campsite.
Play area in camping field
Our bespoke play area has been lovingly created using reclaimed and natural materials from our smallholding. It provides a safe and fun space for children to explore, play and enjoy the outdoors during their camping stay.
Conveniently located within the camping field, allowing parents to easily supervise children from their tents or while relaxing by the river.
This family friendly feature makes our campsite an ideal choice for guests looking for a relaxed and child friendly countryside getaway.
Camping with Electric Hook-Up
If you require electricity during your camping stay, you can book one of our hard standing pitches with optional electric hook up. These pitches are ideal for guests who prefer a little extra comfort while enjoying a countryside camping experience.
Recently, a family created a wonderful setup across two hard standing pitches using electric hook up, showing how flexible and spacious this area can be for groups and longer stays.
Electric hook up is perfect for lighting, charging devices and running small camping appliances, while still allowing you to enjoy the peaceful outdoor setting.
