2026

Selling Sam’s Cider


Sam’s Cider is a family run business producing the finest cider from the heart of Devon, just up the road from us in Winkleigh and we get to sell it right here at Lakemoor Devon. I recommend a visit to their shop and The Tallet Cafe whilst you are with us, they do the best English breakfast I have had in Devon (I always make sure I stop for one when I go to the shop to collect more stock).

The Lotus Belle Tent bed

We have replaced the double futon in the Lotus Belle tent to a double bed.

Glamping changed to Adult only

We have decided to trail the glamping as adult only. This is because, the glamping units are right next to the lake, and we like to keep this area quiet.

Pet friendly Glamping

The Cabin and The Pyrapod are now pet friendly, maximum 2 pets, please add them at the time of booking.

Extend our Glamping season

The Cabin and Pyrapod will be available March to October, as they both have log burners.

Extend our hard standing & grass pitch season

Our hard standings are now available from March to October. This change is due to requests from our guests who visit in their camper vans and caravans.

  • You can now book direct on this website!
  • Catch & Release available if you book either The Lotus, The Cabin, The Pyrapod or The Ark.
  • Play area in Camping field.
  • Communal undercover seating area with BBQ and Fire pit (due to its popularity, this area will be improved for 2025).

2023

  • We have additional parking.
  • The Goats (Elsa and Olaf) have a new stable home.
  • The Pyrapod has it’s own private compost toilet next to it.
  • Chickens have a settled into their new home in the horse box.

2022

  • Obtained our Camping and Caravan License so we can open from April to September.
  • The Cabin and The Pyrapod now have log burning stoves.
  • The Cabin has an extended Decking area, which is now enclosed, with fire pit/BBQ, and has been repainted.
  • The Pyrapod can now sleep 2 adults and 1 child, with the introduction of a Z-bed. (Facilities included are for 3 guests).
  • New entrance, with a wider opening to make it easier for caravans, and gives extra visitor parking.
  • Pig field finished and pigs have arrived.
  • New log store for logs you can purchase onsite to use with your fire pits.
  • We have What3Words to help you find us – Successes.Butter.Fireworks
  • The Lotus is now available to rent with outside kitchen and all the utensils you need.
